Exhibitor:
Frederic Eugene Ives
Section:
Scientific and Technical Photographs, &c.
Exhibit No.:
548 to 553
Description:
Made by the exhibitor's original dyed relief print making process of 1890 (described in the Journal of the Camera Club, April, 1894, page 63), but modified in working details, simplified, standardized, perfected and adapted to paper backing, so that the results may be framed and hung upon the wall like ordinary photographs.
From negatives made at one exposure in trichromatic cameras patented by the exhibitor.
(This exhibit is intended to demonstrate progress in "Paper Print" colour photography, and duplicate prints are shown of three of the subjects to prove that it is a practical duplicating process. The negatives used were made by four different men, and the prints by an assistant in the exhibitor's laboratory).
