- Six prints showing five species of the Heron family.
In No. 1, the male of a pair of Buff-backed Herons is relieving his mate on the nest. Crowds of this species resort to fields where cattle graze, and they may be seen standing on the cattle searching for insects. From this habit it has, in the South African Colonies, been given the name "Tick-bird."
