- In (6) length of tail photographed about 50°. South branch of tail begins about 17° ¾ from the head. Meteor trail across inner part of tail. This same trail shown on larger scale plate (7). Note jets form nucleus in (8) and unsymmetrical nucles and from of envelopes in (9). Nos. (6), (7) and (8) show the great activity of the comet on May 13.
