- In each case the original exposure to white light covered the whole surface, and its result after fixing (the prints are small untoned) appears on the side marked "A." On the portion of the print marked "B" a subsequent uniform exposure under either yellow or ruby glass has been given, by which, as will be seen, the detail of the original, sometimes extremely short, exposure has been greatly developed.
