- Description:
- Red and violet screens were placed in front of the slit. It will be seen that the colour of the light has no effect in the case of the "Process" plate, but in the case of the "Lantern" plate the scatter with the red light is greatly diminished. This is to be ascribed to the fact that with medium and coarse-grained plates the scatter is due to reflection, but with fine-grained plates to diffraction.
