- Epiphytic Ferns are abundant in all damp tropical regions. This series ranges from Tenasserium to the Philippines. It possesses two kinds of leaves (1) large, erect, sterile leaves, and (2) pendulous, branched, fertile leaves. The latter are often from 6-12 ft. in length. The sporangia are borne on broad, stalked segments, at the bases of the fertile leaves. Singapore, Botanic Gardens (1899).
