- Description:
- Asplenium Nidus is an epiphytic fern found in tropical forests of the Old World. The leaves of the plant from a nest-like rosette in which humus collects. Some of the roots of the Fern penetrate this soil and obtain from it the necessary salts and water. Above the Bird's-nest Fern are seen several founds of a climbing Fern, Acrostichum scandens. Jungle; Kelantan, Malay Peninsula (1899).
