Description:
These [Exhibit numbers 636 to 717]are chiefly illustrative of the fish, fauna and coral grottos of tropical Australian and Polynesian waters. Supplemented by botanical, ornithological and other specimens contributing as a whole to demonstrate the utility of the three colour replicas of natural history subjects, and more especially of fishes and other marine organisms, of which the life are pre-eminently fugitive and incapable of preservation.
