Description:
Vesuvius. Telephotograph taken at a distance of 8 miles.
When the volcano is "active" the vapour issuing from the crater is illuminated by the incandescent matter below it.
An Erythrosin plate and yellow screen were used, the objective working at the largest possible aperture and the exposure instantaneous.
