- Butterflies photographed from bred specimens shortly after emerging from the chrysalides, as soon as the wings were completely expanded. At this period, i.e., before flight, the insects are in absolutely perfect condition.
Successive stages shown of Colias edusa –
(a) Caterpillar immediately before turning to chrysalis.
(b) Chrysalis.
(c) Butterfly.
Two specimens are shown of Parage megdera, one immediately after emergence and the other with fully expanded wings. Single specimens only of the remaining species. - Exhibit type:
