- It will be seen that all are facing her. Those behind and at the sides are licking her body and one in front is offering her food. As she moves about the comb constant attention is shown her in this way.
These two photographs were only secured after extreme trouble owning to the refusal of the bees to work in the light when their comb was taken from the darkness of the hive interior - Exhibit type:
