- Description:
- Amongst the new items shown will be the following:-
[1] -A new one-exposure camera for colour photography, in which the three negatives are taken upon one plate, by one lens, at one exposure. The camera is compact and portable, whilst the arrangements for the dividing of the image of one lens into three parts are free from liability to derangement. The adjustment for varying sensitiveness of different batches of plates is accomplished by a novel form of diaphragm, so that the setting of the camera to ratio is merely a question of adjustment of the diaphragm – no compensating screen being necessary.
2. – A new instrument for ascertaining the relative red, green and blue sensitiveness of colour sensitive plates. This instrument consists of a graduated plate 4¼ x 3¼ in., covered by three strips of coloured filtering medium, each provided with a numbered scale. By exposing the plate to be tested to daylight behind this screen and developing, the relative sensitiveness to red, green and blue light can be at once seen.
3. – New models of apparatus for use in the Hurter & Driffield method of speed estimation. These models, whilst in no way departing from the well-established mathematical conditions laid down by Messrs. Hurter & Driffield, have been devised with the object of securing accuracy of measurement, with sound mechanical construction and moderate cost. The use of japanned tin plate and asbestos in place of wood in the construction of the reading photometer, together with the method of fixing the photometer bar, facilitates convenience in reading and accuracy in the result.
4. – A new model of the firm’s spectroscopic camera. The 1900 camera was expensive, and a cheaper model is now offered. The new model is almost identical with the old one, with the exception of the base and slotted strut provided with that instrument for daylight work.
5. – New automatic arc lamp on adjustable stand, with coarse and fine adjustment for height, giving a light of about 125 C.P., with a consumption of 1½ amperes on a 100 volt direct current circuit. The consumption of current is so small that the plug and cord can be safely attached to the nearest incandescent lamp socket – the necessary resistance being self-contained in the lamp standard.
6. – A new model of Dark Room Lamp.
7. – A new model of ½-plate Camera for Survey Work.
8. – An improved form of Recording Chronograph made under the patents of Messrs. Robert Mond & Wildermann. - Exhibit type:
