- Description:
- Taken in the ten-yard seam of South Staffordshire, with light obtained by burning powdered magnesium in the flame of the oxy-hydrogen blow-pipe. Two lamps were employed and sixty grains of magnesium were burned in each. The time of exposure was about three seconds at F/22 on a Cadett Lightning Plate.
