- In this, the latest model, a new form of slit which is more sensitive in adjustment has been adopted. The Thorp Prism Grating, the collimator lens, and camera lens are also fitted into a lens mount. A finely ground glass is provided enabling the camera to be used for visual examination of the spectrum. The dark slide is placed horizontally so that five spectra may be obtained on one plate instead of three when the plate is vertical.
