Description:
Features - 1. The reversible spring mechanism for actuating the lens tube in opposite directions alternately.
The lens tube has a driving lever geared to it, operated by a spring which extends between this lever and an arm on the reversing spindle. The reversing spindle sets the spring to pull towards one side or the other of the lever against releasing catches. Upon release of either catch the spring moves the lens tube in the direction in which the pull was set up by the reversing spindle. Spring latches prevent rebound of the lens tube at either end of its swing; the particular latch not required is held out of action automatically by the reversing spindle.
2. Simplified method of inserting and securing spools. The hinged plate forming part of the spool centreing device; this plate is of two parts hinged together, one secured to the camera and the other carrying a centreing pin. A spring catch holds the plate against the end of the spool.
3. The pivotted tension plate to keep the film taut on the film guides: this plate is held by a spring against the film-spool, or away from it.
4. Generally, a combination of points giving extreme compactness and great simplicity of action and working.
