- Description:
- Three metzograph screens of varying fineness. These screens are intended to impart to photographs an even and ungeometrical grain of any desired size, and are applicable to ordinary studio work or process work. In the first case the screens may be used as an adjunct in printing. The screen is placed with its grained surface separated from the negatives by the thickness of an india-rubber band, and the printing conducted in either direct sunlight or its equivalent. In the case of process work, the screen may be placed at the same distance from the plate, in the camera, the exposure being the same as without the screen. An alternate method may be followed by graining the block, on the lines of the ordinary printing first described.
