Description:
The construction of the lens is described in this JOURNAL, Vol. xxi., p. 167. In application it is practically four lenses in one:
1. A moderate-angle lens for ordinary work on the plate for which it is scheduled (as shown in the figure 457A).
2. A wide-angle lens when worked upon a plate two sizes larger.
3. The front lens, when screwed into the back cell, forms a single landscape lens, 1½ times the focal length of the entire combination (diaphragm set to f/11, as shown in the figure 457B).
4. The back lens forms a single landscape lens twice the focal length of the entire combination (diaphragm set to f/8.)
