Exhibit title:
Instantaneous Flange
Exhibitor:
W. Watson & Sons
Section:
Apparatus
Exhibit No.:
385
Description:
This is flange by which the lens can be instantly fixed to the camera without screwing. On reference to the figures it will be seen that there are on the inner side of the flange three jaws bearing screw threads. By moving the lever from the position shown in Fig. A to that in Fig. B the jaws are moved forward and clamp any lens having a corresponding size of thread which may be inserted in the flange. The lens can be removed by unscrewing, but this is unnecessary, as by moving the lever the jaws are at once withdrawn and the lens released. The flange is made to all of the Society's Standard sizes of threads.
