Description:
In this camera the front is supported upon two pairs of struts, each of which is capable of swinging on the base board, while the front is attached to the struts by means of clamping screw, which pass through longitudinal slots in each strut. The camera front is in three distinct pieces. One, which is removable with all it carries, bears upon it a second capable of being rotated, which rotating portion again carries a sliding front, in which is inserted a still smaller circular piece bearing the lens. By this arrangement the lens can be moved up and down, and from side to side, and at the same time brought nearer to or farther from the screen in one operation. It is recommended by the makers to commence with the tripod head level and the back vertical, making as many adjustment as possible afterwards with the front. The specimen shown is of the "A" pattern. "B" and "C" patterns are also made, in which the form is slightly modified, to secure greater compactness or decrease in weight.
